About the Runner

Tommy Neeson (b. 1969) - Youngest of three children to Harry and Carol
Neeson, grew up in Yorktown Heights, NY attending and graduating from
Yorktown High School in 1987. Began running at the age of 8 after following
in his father's distance running footsteps.

Attended Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY on a cross country scholarship
and graduated with a degree in psychology.  His professional life involves
supporting adults with disabilities in a residential setting.  He is currently a
Housing Coordinator for a company that operates group homes in Virginia
Beach, VA.

Tommy is a veteran of 19 marathons with a personal best of 2:35 (Shamrock
Sportsfest, VA 2003).  He has numerous top ten marathon finishes and has
won two (2003 Hatfield McCoy, WV and the 2005 inaugural Ocean City,
MD). In the summer of 2007, he raised thousands of dollars for the Ronald
McDonald House Charities of Norfolk when he broke the World Record for
50 kilometers on a treadmill.
