Mileage for today: 31 Starting point is the McDonald's on Indian River Road near Regent University in Virginia Beach. Stopping point is in Suffolk. Today's run is dedicated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Norfolk. I had the pleasure of running with my most favorite person of all time today, my daughter Shelby. Knucklehead (Shelby) got in 5 miles from the start of the day. Of all the hundreds of miles that I've logged in and all the days spent pounding the pavement, those five miles are the best. I also had my buddy Steve Speirs, whom I refer to as British Bulldog, get in 9 miles. Steve actually found license plate number 13 for me. He had asked me how many plates I had collected so far while we were waiting for a light. I barely let out "twelve" when he spotted lucky number 13 a few feet away. Today was actually a pretty fun day of running after Knucklehead and Bulldog went their separate ways. I went through a very special part of Chesapeake, VA *barfs* over a quaint bridge toward Portsmouth and along a busy road into Suffolk. No problems, but a little unnerving with traffic. |
